Works by [[Hermann Hesse]] - Some of the works of Hermann Hesse (mainly those published prior to 1923) are in the public domain in the United States.  This includes several books of poetry for which English translations are not readily available.  I hope to make these available here.

This is just a collection of links and other information I've found useful as well as some notes to help me find what I need.

Useful translation links in a pinch:

Google Übersetzer - frequently incorrect on grammar or vocab but can translate whole web pages or you can copy/paste material in and for that it's well worth having in the toolbox.

dict.cc - probably the best for individual words and short common phrases. It's main problems are that declension and conjugations aren't necessarily easily accessible and the site is subject to user editing and the translation of lot's of uncommon slang resulting in some very incorrect translations. Usage is not clear for most words.

Leo - a very good site, not as easy to use as dict.cc but has a forum and consequently more usage information.

German Verbs - Here I intend to put German verbs fully conjugated and defined; we'll see how it goes.

Works by Hermann Hesse - Some of the works of Hermann Hesse (mainly those published prior to 1923) are in the public domain in the United States. This includes several books of poetry for which English translations are not readily available. I hope to make these available here.
